Review for hostel Estoril Terrazas in Buenos Aires

Located in central downtown Buenos Aires, this hostel faces the edifico Palacio Barolo, which is a beautiful building designed after Dantes divine comedy.   After taking an old fashioned elevator, you will arrive at the top floor where this hostel is located.  Keep in mind that there are several hostels located in this building but Hostel Estoril up at the top floor is by far the best.  There are dorm rooms for as few as 4 people or as many as 8.  Rooms are basic but clean, try to get one with a balcony.

The staff give you fresh sheets and towels upon your arrival and are in general, one of the more friendly and helpful staffs that we have come across.  Breakfast is your typical Argentinian affair, with breads and various spreads.  Coffee is dreadful, play it safe with tea instead.  Get up early if you want a medialuna (croissant) instead of a basic roll.  Bathrooms are a bit old and could use some updating but functional. The best part about this hostel is the amazing rooftop.  There are shaded or sunny areas where you can sit and relax while enjoying the views.  The hostel also does Thursday night asado nights complete with live tango music.  We tried the asado and it was good quality.  I recommend a stay in hostel estoril if you are going to be in BA and want a hostel with friendly, helpful staff, clean rooms and an amazing rooftop to hang out. Check it out here for more info.
