Top 10 Unmissable Destinations In Chile

If you are planning a trip to Chile, you may find selecting where to go very daunting. Although not very wide, Chile stretches seemingly forever (more than 2500 miles long!) along South America's western flank. Bordered on one side by the Pacific ocean and to the east, the Andes mountains, the north consists of one giant desert and the south full of glaciers and waterfalls, the country screams diversity and contains activities that suit every taste and desire. The National Parks in Chile are numerous and vast and you can only hope to visit them all sometime in your life.

Celebrating one year of travel! Some reflections, new plans & our favorite memories

One year ago on October 4, with much trepidation and excitement, Laurent & I landed in Buenos Aires, Argentina with just backpacks strapped to our backs containing everything we would need for the next two years. I had quit my job back in New York, sold my car and many of my possessions and had no idea what the future would hold.

The last installment…it’s all about the journey, although arriving at the destination was a relief!

For the past 5 months, Laurent & I have been traveling around going from one jaw-dropping landscape to the next. But this was truly some of the most beautiful nature I had ever seen. Patagonia in this part of Chile, was vastly different than anything I had ever experienced.

After waiting in Villa O Higgins until Friday we took the "bus". The bus was actually more like a minivan and the ride that followed was just the beginning of our dusty, bumpy journey. Now, when I say dusty...I REALLY mean dusty!!

So where the hell are we now?

We left the Bark Europa and our Antarctic memories on January 19, 2013 when the boat harbored back into Ushuaia (check out the map if you don't know where that is). So where the hell are we now and why has it taken me this long to write about things that happened months ago??
